Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Professional Nurse for night shift care. You will plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines, working within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The role requires current GA RN licensure and BLS certification.

BSN degree is preferred and additional life support certifications are encouraged. 7PM–7AM hours with rotating weekends are typical for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• Additional life support or unit-specific certifications encouraged.
• Color vision may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

7PM-7AM
