Job summary

You will engage in multidisciplinary teams, document accurately in EHRs, and participate in ongoing professional development. The role may include floating to different units to meet patient care needs and requires strong communication and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license valid in applicable states; multi-state compact preferred.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution within the team.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and supports ethical decision-making in patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care across life span with growth and development considerations.
