Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across the continuum. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families while collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes.

You will adhere to safety standards, participate in ongoing professional development, maintain required certifications (BLS, RN license), and may float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in the state(s) of practice and maintain active status.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BSN preferred.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinic IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and delegation.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
