Job summary

Baylor Scott & White - Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The unit functions as a Level 3 trauma center, handling about 100 patients per day with 20–30 EMS ambulances daily and a mix of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Candidates must have 2+ years of ED RN experience, hold an active RN license, and current BLS; TNCC and ENPC are preferred or must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• TNCC certification or obtained within 18 months of hire.
• ENPC certification or obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care using a professional practice model.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families and document learning needs.
• Delegate tasks based on patient condition and team competencies.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective delivery of care.
