Job summary

Cynet Health in Missouri is seeking an experienced RN - ER to join our fast-paced emergency department for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 2+ years ER experience, MO or Compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE certifications, with NRP/TNCC preferred.

Shift coverage includes 11:00–23:00 and 13:00–01:00, weekend rotation every other weekend, patient ratio 1:4, with potential floating to other departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac status and deliver emergency care in a high-acuity ED.
• Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as required.
• Administer medications and manage multiple patient conditions.
• Provide care across neuro, ortho, pediatrics, psych, resp and trauma domains.
• Float to other departments as needed within established competencies.

Description:Locals are not allowed.There is a 60-mile radius rule with no exceptions.First-time travelers are accepted; experience and qualifications will be reviewed.The start date is ASAP.The schedule includes a combination of shifts from 11:00 - 23:00 and 13:00 - 01:00.Weekend work is required every other weekend.Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE (provided).NRP and TNCC are preferred certifications.The patient ratio is 1:4.Patients include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.Nurses may be required to float to another department as Helping Hands or take a patient assignment.The nurse floating will not be required to care for patients outside of their established competencies.Expect to work some holidays.Keep requests for time off to a minimum, preferably no requests for an entire calendar week off during the assignment.Any time-off requests must be approved before the start of the assignment.Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various departments.Specific skills required include the management of various medical conditions and procedures.The unit operates with a maximum of 20 rooms and 16 beds.
