Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for night shifts in Maryland. The 13-week travel assignment requires at least 2 years of ED experience, a current RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, plus Cerner charting experience.

Expect 3x12 hour nights (18:45–07:15) with 1:4–6 patient ratios, weekend coverage every other weekend, and coordination with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ED experience.
• Experience with Cerner charting is required.
• Ability to manage ventilated patients and administer blood products.
• EKG interpretation and IV management knowledge are essential.
• Trauma level I/II familiarity preferred.
• Experience with psychiatric holds and triage is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide general ED care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Handle a variety of emergencies (e.g., abdominal pain, psychosis, gunshot wounds, head injuries).
• Manage ventilated patients and administer blood products.
• Interpret EKGs and manage IVs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory, social services.

Description:Emergency RN orientation is conducted every Monday.Shifts are 3x12 during the night.Minimum patient ratio is 1:4-6.Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setup.Candidates must have completed at least one travel assignment.Experience with charting systems, specifically Cerner, is required.Weekend coverage is needed every other weekend, with six weekend shifts in each six-week schedule.Candidates are expected to account for the following skills:General Emergency Department care for combined adult and pediatric patients.Experience with a variety of emergency situations, including but not limited to:Abdominal pain, acute psychosis, gunshot wounds, and head injury management.Candidates must be capable of managing ventilated patients and administering blood products.Knowledge of EKG interpretation and IV management is essential.Familiarity with trauma levels I and II is preferred.Candidates should also be comfortable managing psychiatric holds and triaging patients.The patient demographic includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.The daily census is approximately 120 patients.This role involves working with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.References from two supervisors, including one from the most recent assignment, are required.Candidates need to meet compliance requirements and complete necessary training modules upon hire.Nurses with previous employment within the past year are not eligible to apply for this position.
