Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking an ER Nurse to be the first touchpoint for the community during health emergencies. You will triage, stabilize and care for patients of all ages, while documenting and coordinating care with the ER team.

We offer a up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance for eligible new hires, with emphasis on teamwork, professionalism and patient dignity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current RN license to practice in our state.
• BLS through American Heart Association.
• NIHSS required within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS required within 5 months of hire.
• PALS required within 5 months of hire.
• NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC required within 12 months of hire.
• ENPC required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the ER team.
• Document nursing care plans and changes in patient condition.
• Engage in activities that benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives and mentoring.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our ER Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital, you’ll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies.

Everyday, you will be a multitasker who can react quickly as you prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while providing emergency triage to others.

To thrive in this vital role, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism and critical thinking skills. You should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

• Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
• Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
• Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
• Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required within 5 months of hire
