The PCU at CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 40-bed intermediate care unit where nurses monitor telemetry, administer meds, and respond rapidly to patient changes. You will collaborate with physicians and the nursing team to manage care plans and educate families throughout the patient journey.
As an RN, you will ensure timely documentation, monitor vitals, and support patients from admission through transfer or discharge, with ACLS within 5 months of hire and BLS required.
As our PCU Nurse at Good Samaritan Hosptial, you will help critically ill patients by providing exceptional care, monitoring and managing their conditions, and administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Every day you willbe helping patients recover from surgery, accidents, illness, or complications from chronic conditions, with the goal of transfer or discharge.
To be successful in this role, you must be diligent and observant, with the ability to quickly spot changes in their patients’ condition and act appropriately.

At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
