Job summary

The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Department on a 12-hour night shift (18:45 - 07:15) with Epic experience preferred. Expect to handle about 20 visits daily across 7 rooms with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and occasional float to meet unit needs.

Minimum 1 year ER experience required; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are expected, and trauma Level IV exposure is preferred. Weekend coverage is required; no on-call duties are listed.

Description:The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Department.The nurse will handle an average of 20 visits per day.There are 7 rooms and beds available in the unit.The patient ratio is 1:4 for all shifts.Previous charge experience is preferred.The nurse must have experience with general emergency department procedures, including combined adult/pediatric care.Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care/management, and administration of IV vasopressors.The nurse should also be proficient in CPAP/BiPAP management, care of ventilated patients, and isolation precautions.Triage skills are necessary for this position.The Registered Nurse may float as necessary to meet facility needs.Weekend coverage is expected at least every other week.No call requirement is needed for this role.The facility operates with a staffing schedule based on self-scheduling.The age groups for patient care range from infants to geriatrics.Experience with interdisciplinary support services is beneficial.Additional responsibilities may include completing pre-start modules and compliance training.
