Job summary

RN - ER position in Cypress, TX (13 weeks) with night shifts and 12-hour shifts. Requires a valid RN license and a minimum of 1 year in Emergency Department care. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Unit information includes 19 beds and a staff of 26 FTEs. Night shifts typically include a Charge RN, Triage RN, 4 Bedside RNs, a Health Unit Coordinator, and a Tech. Patient ratios are 4:1 or 5:1 with Meditech EMR and Philips equipment.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and 1+ year ER experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or NICHE equivalents.
• Proficient in Meditech EMR and hospital tech.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide ER nursing care for critical and non‑critical patients.
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1 depending on census.
• Collaborate with Charge RN, Triage RN, bedside RNs, HU Coordinator and Tech.
• Adhere to unit policies and clinical guidelines.
