Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. This full-time day position covers weekday shifts (6:30am–5:00pm) with 4–10 hour shifts, no on-call required.

You will assess and care for patients undergoing invasive, diagnostic, and interventional EP procedures, collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Associate Degree required.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Minimum 1 year invasive cardiology experience preferred.
• 3 years of critical care experience preferred.
• Current BLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determine health status and needs through interpretation of health data with patients and care team.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patient health status.
• Formulate a nursing care plan based on diagnoses and problems.
• Implement nursing care within RN scope and legal requirements.
• Develop and implement patient teaching plans for health promotion and restoration.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to interventions.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and literature for nursing decisions.
