Job summary

Raleigh Capitol Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our in-office phone triage team in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on telephone triage, patient education, and coordination with physicians to ensure safe, effective care.

Requirements include NC RN licensure, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and strong communication. ENT/outpatient experience preferred, with on-the-job triage training provided.

Qualifications

• Current NC RN license
• Nursing degree
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and patient assessment skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff
• Experience with EMR systems and telephone triage preferred
• ENT or outpatient clinical experience preferred. On-the-job triage training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage and assess patient symptoms to determine appropriate next steps.
• Communicate with patients regarding symptoms, treatment plans, test results, medications, and follow-up care.
• Consult with physicians as needed regarding patient concerns and clinical findings.
• Coordinate and communicate test results, referrals, and provider recommendations.
• Provide patient education and post-operative follow-up.
• Review patient history and document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
