Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ENT clinic team. This 90% FTE, day shift role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays and onsite work at University Hospital.

You will support patient care and education in clinical settings and via triage calls or MyChart messages, collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, audiologists and speech pathologists, and assist with in-clinic ENT

Qualifications

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred.
  • 6 months RN experience Required.
  • CPR/BLS Certification Required.
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient care and education in both a clinical setting and via triage calls or MyChart messages.
  • Work with a team of nurses and medical assistants in a fast-paced ambulatory setting caring for adult patients within the ENT specialty.
  • Practice in a clinic providing ENT specialty care including rhinology, laryngology, otology, facial plastics, neurotology and head/neck cancer.
  • Assist with in-clinic procedures such as transnasalesphagoscopy, transnasaltracheoscopy, injections and biopsies.
  • Coordinate care and provide support for physicians, physician assistants, audiologists and speech and language pathologists.

Education

Graduate of school of nursing

  • Assist with a variety of in-clinic procedures including transnasalesphagoscopy, transnasaltracheoscopy, intertympanic membrane injections, temporal artery biopsies, vocal cord injections/biopsies, fine needle aspirations and Botox injections.
  • Coordinate care and provide support for physicians, physician assistants, audiologists and speech and language pathologists.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
