University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) for Ear, Nose and Throat to join a team that provides compassionate, patient-family centered care. Roles include preparing patients, documenting complaints, and assisting providers with procedures in a Monday–Friday day schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program or be licensed as an LPN or complete the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or attain CCMA certification as a UWH employee or be accepted into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated.
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care in a patient-family centered environment.
• Prepare patients for examination, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies, obtain patient questionnaires, assist provider with procedures.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

Education

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Qualifications

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
