Job summary

AdventHealth Minneola is seeking an RN with Endoscopy and critical care background to join our day shift team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate families while ensuring safety and collaboration with the care team.

Eligible candidates may receive up to a 20% salary increase through the Clinical Ladder, plus sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 and relocation assistance up to $3,000. This is a full-time role with four 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• RN license required.
• Endoscopy experience 1+ year preferred; critical care background required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly updating as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plans and make adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance to maintain a safe environment.

12-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Sign-on Eligibility

• One (1) year of applicable experience
• Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible

Relocation Eligibility

• Must live 50 miles outside of campus address
• Rehires that are less than 12 months from separation date are not eligible

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year Endoscopy experience highly preferred
• Critical Care Background experience required

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
