Job summary

Trinity Health MercyOne Genesis Endocrinology Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide outpatient patient care with a focus on safe, evidence-based nursing through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The RN will coordinate with the care team, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate EMR documentation while adhering to policy and quality standards. A Iowa RN license and BLS are required, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Iowa; licensure from other states may be required based on location.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, email, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in outpatient settings using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge and health maintenance; document education.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in quality improvement activities.
