Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Clinic in Mason City, IA seeks a Clinic Registered Nurse to deliver outpatient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will coordinate with physicians and staff, educate patients and families, and ensure complete EMR documentation of care and education.

The role requires an active Iowa RN license, BLS within 3 months, and strong collaboration in a shared leadership environment.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license required for Clinic RN role.
• BLS certification must be current or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient with Windows, EMR systems, email, and MS Office.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in collaborative, shared-leadership healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer medications and treatments via various routes as prescribed.
• Provide direct patient care using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of care, education, and communications.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge plans, and health maintenance.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff, assist with admissions, referrals, and outreach procedures.
