Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa; compact license acceptable where applicable.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in outpatient settings using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer medications and treatments safely via multiple routes and document accordingly.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, patients, and families; support education.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, test preparation, discharge, and health maintenance.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and completeness in EMR and participate in quality improvement projects.
