Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients, in accordance with physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Georgia with BLS certification; BSN and ACLS/PALS/NRP credentials are preferred, along with two years of RN experience. Night shifts from 7PM to 7AM and weekend requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred BSN degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients according to physician orders.
• Follow established guidelines and scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Independently assess and address patient needs as part of the care team.
• Ensure safety, accuracy, and quality of care during night shift (7PM-7AM).
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to implement care plans.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
