Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer treatments per physician orders.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. You will educate patients and families, document care activities, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance across the unit.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
