Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Provide emergency interventions and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, trauma, and other emergency conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care.
• Maintain strict infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Respond calmly and effectively to rapidly changing clinical situations.

As an Emergency Department RN, you’ll play a critical role in delivering timely, high quality care to patients with a wide range of emergency and acute-care needs.
