Job summary

Corewell Health’s Canton Emergency Center seeks a registered nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED setting. The RN will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, discharge planning, and patient education.

The position requires MI RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and a willingness to obtain TNCC/ENPC or PALS as applicable. Night shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekend rotation, are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years if new graduate or less than 1 year experience.
• NCLEX licensure required for non-accredited school grads.
• MI RN license required.
• BLS required on hire/transfer (AHA/Red Cross/Canadian Heart and Stroke).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• ENPC or PALS within 15 months of hire/transfer.
• Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
• New graduates with recent EC-related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care following the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and discharge patients.
• Incorporate patient and family input in planning care and education.
• Document education and learning in health records.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
