Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care within a team-based model in Ohio. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on ANA standards and local nursing scope of practice.

BLS is required prior to patient contact, with ACLS within six months for designated units. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, communicating changes with the care team using SBAR, and coordinating discharge planning and referrals to support

Qualifications

• RN must hold an active Ohio license.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty is expected within five years.

Responsibilities

• Understands signs and symptoms and data related to patient needs and nursing diagnoses.
• Reports abnormal data and changes in patient condition to physician and charge RN.
• Collaborates with healthcare team using SBAR and handoff processes.
• Assists in discharge planning and referrals aligned with length of stay.
• Performs nursing actions based on orders with accountability for implementation.
• Provides ongoing education to patients and families in collaboration with the team.
