Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse at Mary Washington Hospital and Stafford Hospital locations to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, Virginia RN licensure (or reciprocal), BLS certification, and 2 years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.
• Additional certifications will be required according to the assigned unit.
• 2 years of recent RN acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with other health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
• Mentor and orient new staff; participate in unit and hospital committees.
