Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care through the nursing process. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will participate in discharge planning, patient education, and collaboration with case managers to optimize outcomes. The role includes 12-hour shifts with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• AHA BLS—Healthcare Provider.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or ability to obtain within orientation.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire for certain units.
• PALS or ability to obtain within 6 months for specified sections.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education on medications.
• Collaborate with care teams and case managers to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and Joint Commission readiness.
