Job summary

This role requires an RN license (BSN preferred), BLS certification, and ongoing professional development. You may be asked to float to other units to meet patient needs while maintaining age-appropriate care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the relevant state; multi-state compact or single-state accepted.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes using evidence-based practices.
• Applies the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates professional development and maintains certifications; adheres to ANA Code of Ethics.
