Qualifications

• Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or must obtain by end of orientation if assigned to specific units.
• ACLS certification or must obtain within 6 months of hire date.
• NRP and/or PALS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through a team approach across the nursing process.
• Assists in safety, pain management, and patient education.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates with case management for transitions of care.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families to support understanding of care plans.
