Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles seeks an RN Clinical Information Systems Educator to lead the organization’s EHR orientation and ongoing HIT training, ensuring staff readiness and confidence using Cerner Millennium and related systems.

You will develop curricula, deliver education to providers and staff, and maintain online training resources while collaborating with clinical leadership to improve care delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; healthcare environment preferred.
• Proficient Cerner Millennium user.
• Experience training clinical staff.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new hire EHR orientation program and curricula for the organization.
• Provide direct educational support for providers and staff.
• Maintain online training site to ensure current training data.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership on training inputs and materials.
• Validate training effectiveness by observing on-the-job use of skills.
• Evaluate end-user assessments and revise training as needed.
• Offer innovative teaching approaches tailored to end-users and organization.
• Deliver and coordinate ongoing education based on learning needs assessments.
• Know the Watson Model of Care: Care, Competence, Communication, Commitment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
