Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare seeks an Clinical Information Systems Educator to drive the readiness and confidence of clinicians when using the EHR and HIT systems. You will develop training, collaborate with leadership, and maintain the online training portal to ensure accurate data and effective skill transfer.

Ideal candidates bring Cerner Millennium proficiency, experience training clinical staff, and a willingness to work in a healthcare setting in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare environment or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient Cerner Millennium user with experience training clinical staff.
• Experience in training clinical staff and end-user education.
• Current California Nursing License preferred.
• Bilingual language skills preferred (Spanish).
• Basic computer skills sufficient for online training and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new hire EHR orientation program and curricula.
• Provide direct educational support for providers and staff.
• Maintain the online training site with accurate data.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership on training materials.
• Validate training content by observing staff using new skills.
• Evaluate end-user assessments and revise training as needed.
• Deliver and coordinate ongoing education based on learning needs.
