Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking a RN Clinical Information Systems Educator (CIS-E) to join our team for full-time days. The role focuses on ensuring clinical staff readiness in using the EHR and other HIT systems, with responsibilities spanning curriculum development, staff training, and ongoing education delivery.

Strong Cerner Millennium proficiency and healthcare training experience are essential; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; healthcare environment preferred.
• Proficient Cerner Millennium user.
• Experience in training clinical staff.
• Bilingual language skills preferred (Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new hire EHR orientation program and curricula for the organization.
• Provide direct educational support for providers and staff.
• Maintain the online training site to ensure accurate training data.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership on training input and materials.
• Validate training content and effectiveness by observing end‑users.
• Evaluate end‑user assessments and observations to revise training.
• Deliver and coordinate ongoing education based on learning needs assessments.
