Job summary

Los Angeles Community Hospitals is seeking a Clinical Educator - RN to plan, design and implement education programs for nursing staff. You will work with nursing directors to assess educational needs and develop orientation for new hires and new grads.

You will ensure competencies remain current and serve as a resource for educational issues hospital‑wide. Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, delivering programs, evaluating outcomes, and helping implement policy changes to improve

Qualifications

Active, current RN license in California
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
AHA Basic Life Support
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Three (3) years of clinical experience
Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Hollywood and Van Nuys Only)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Responsibilities

Conducts annual staff education needs assessments and collaborates with other health care professionals to ensure quality programs
Oversees orientation of new hires and oversees new grad program
Develops and delivers education programs and materials; manages learning environment and provides feedback
Promotes policy, procedure, and legislative changes to enhance staff competence
Collects quality-improvement data and supports research and educational documentation
