Job summary

Ascension in Brookfield, WI is seeking a dedicated Nursing Education Specialist to lead credentialing, onboarding, and safety training for clinical staff in the Education department. The role is full-time and based on-site at Franciscan Place, with days scheduled to support staff development and regulatory compliance.

This position requires RN licensure with preferred ALS/ACLS and BLS credentials, and experience in educator roles focused on childbirth.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required prior to hire.
• ACLS/ALS preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Educator specializing in Childbirth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Credential & Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure all clinical staff maintain up-to-date credentials and complete required continuing education hours per state regulations.
• Onboarding & New Hire Training: Facilitate comprehensive orientation and clinical training programs for new staff to ensure smooth transitions into their roles.
• Safety & Best Practices Education: Deliver instruction on patient safety protocols, standard precautions, and clinical best practices across assigned services.
• Needs Assessment & Collaboration: Partner with nurse managers and clinical staff to track required competencies and address ongoing learning gaps.
• Record Keeping & Compliance Reporting: Maintain detailed tracking logs of all completed educational activities, safety trainings, and staff certifications to ensure audit readiness.
