Horizon Health in Paris, IL seeks an Education Coordinator to support Nursing and Patient Care Services. Under the Education Manager, you will develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs across hospital units and clinics, including orientation and ongoing staff development.

Requires BSN, RN, and experience coordinating education programs; active BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor certifications preferred with certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MS degree preferred.
• Experience coordinating and presenting education programs.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clinical background in acute care hospital nursing.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS instructor certifications or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist with educational needs assessment and develops an annual education plan.
• Develop and evaluate comprehensive education programs for nursing and non-nursing personnel.
• Organize and lead new nursing orientation and new employee orientation.
• Develop education plans related to competency validation for nursing staff.
• Provide educational opportunities for nurses at all career stages.
• Teach content to facilitate orientation, staff development and safe practices.
• Support staffing by taking patient assignments as needed under Education Director guidance.
• Engage as an educator on clinical education trends at local/state/national levels.
• Collaborate with academic programs and community partners to foster Horizon Health relations.
• Participate in educational advisory groups as directed.
