Job summary

Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, NE seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Education Director. The role directs and tracks education and competency for all employees, coordinating clinical and non-clinical training to advance care quality.

The Education Director schedules and leads opportunities, collaborates with subject matter experts, and ensures staff remain compliant with required certifications and best practices.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Nebraska RN license active and in good standing (or Nurse Compact).
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC certifications or obtain within six months of hire.
• Current Instructor certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC or obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Promote mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Direct and track education and competency for employees.
• Coordinate and lead staff educational opportunities and professional development.
• Collaborate with Quality Director to improve care through ongoing QA.
• Organize and lead internal and external training programs and workshops.
