Job summary

Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, NE, seeks an Education Director (RN, Exempt, 40 hrs/wk) to lead nursing education and competency across staff. You will schedule, coordinate, and deliver educational opportunities, ensuring alignment with quality standards and organizational goals.

The role requires BSN, Nebraska RN licensure, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC or proof of enrollment within specified timelines. Collaboration with HR and IT is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of nursing care standards.
• Ability to direct and track employee education and competency.
• Experience coordinating clinical and non-clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Schedule and coordinate patient educational opportunities.
• Provide educational leadership to enhance care within the facility.
• Coordinate with Quality Director to improve staff education and quality of care.
• Manage tracking of hospital educational and competency certifications (HealthStream).
• Instruct or coordinate courses (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC).
• Coordinate in-service training and workshops for staff.
• Organize annual trainings and onboarding with HR and IT.
