Job summary

Mercy South Emergency Department in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a patient-focused nurse to support planning, coordination, and delivery of care in a Level II Trauma, Level I Stroke and STEMI environment.

The role includes serving as a clinical resource, enabling staff and patients and stepping in as needed as a staff nurse; management duties may be delegated. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure in Missouri or a compact state, BLS, and at least 2

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years' experience in patient care is required.
• Supervisor experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of operations and patient care.
• Serve as clinical resource for staff and patients in the department.
• Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed.
• Assume managerial duties delegated by a manager.
