Job summary

Mercy Hospital - Edmond I-35 in the Emergency Department seeks a part-time RN to provide patient-centered care 11am–11pm, 24 hrs per week. You will apply the nursing process, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and collaborate with other departments to evaluate care and improve outcomes.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN) and an active RN license in the state or compact licensure is required, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing for the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Graduated from a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Responsibilities

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
