Job summary

Mercy Edmond I-35 is seeking a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department. This part-time role (11am-11pm, 24 hrs/wk) requires delivering compassionate patient care using the nursing process and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

The RN will coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with Mercy Service Standards, and contribute to a collaborative, innovative healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs; ability to stand, walk, bend and squat for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
