Mercy Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time 24-hour per week schedule (11am-11pm) at the Edmond I-35 location. The RN will provide patient-centered care, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure), BLS certification, and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and extended standing.

Qualifications

• RN with state license (OK) in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing/walking.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
