Mercy Hospital Edmond I-35 in Edmond, OK, is seeking a licensed RN for the Emergency Department. The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with shifts from 11am to 11pm.

You will provide patient-centered nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and uphold Mercy standards of privacy and professional accountability. The position requires nursing education, an active RN license, BLS certification, and the ability to manage physical demands of the unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Maintain RN license in the hiring state/compact.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
