Mercy is seeking a registered nurse for the Edmond Emergency Department. The part-time position covers 11am–11pm with a 24-hour work week, delivering direct patient care using the nursing process.

Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, an active RN license (OK or compact), and BLS certification (within 30 days of hire or current). The role demands physical ability for lifting up to 50 lbs and sustained activities across shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or current.
• One or more certifications may be required based on unit.
• Physical requirements include lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, and ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education : Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
