Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a full-time RN for the Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. This 36-hour-per-week role runs on a Weekend Day shift and offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

You will join a high-performing ED team, gaining exposure to trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical-care cases in a Magnet-designated, 525-bed regional referral center.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma ED.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care.
• Assist with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases as needed.
• Participate in ongoing performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
