Job summary

Wellstar invites experienced emergency nurses to join the W.E.S.T. Float Team, delivering compassionate care across Wellstar facilities in the Georgia network. This role keeps you at the center of fast-paced ED environments.

As a member, you will provide triage, treatment, and discharge education, travel between facilities, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of direct ED RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license (GA or Compact).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC/ATCN preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in line with Wellstar standards.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• BLS â€" Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS â€" Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.
• PALS â€" Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
