Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse to join the W.E.S.T. Float Pool, providing critical ED care across multiple facilities. You will assess, triage, treat, and reassess patients in fast-paced environments, traveling as needed within the WellStar network.

The role requires 2+ years of ED RN experience, an active Georgia RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and educate patients and families, while ensuring proper

Qualifications

• 2+ years of EDRN experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ATCN certifications required or preferred.
• Trauma care certifications preferred (e.g., ATCN).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care including assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond promptly to codes and critical situations.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per WellStar standards.
