Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to join the W.E.S.T. Float Pool. You will provide critical, patient-centered care across Wellstar facilities, delivering triage, assessment and rapid emergency interventions in diverse ED environments.

Be part of a dedicated team, travel between campuses, and work evening shifts while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to protect patient well‑being and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of direct Emergency Department RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC or ATCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Wellstar standards.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.

• Required Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• BLS – Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• TNCC – Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN – Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
• Skills: Critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
