Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse (RN) for the W.E.S.T. Float Pool across multiple WellStar facilities. This role delivers expert, compassionate care in fast-paced ED settings while supporting coverage wherever needed.

Expect travel between facilities, ongoing collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and excellent documentation under WellStar standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of ED RN experience.
• Active RN license (GA or Compact).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC/ATCN certifications; trauma cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care—assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with WellStar standards.

What You'll Do:

• Education :Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.
• Required Licensure/Certifications :Active RN license
• (Georgia or Compact) required.
• BLS
• Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.
• PALS
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• TNCC
• Trauma Nurse Core Course or
• ATCN
• Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
• Skills :Critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
