Job summary

Oneida Health is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to cover the overnight shift on the Vent Unit in our Rehabilitation and Extended Care facility. The RN will provide direct nursing care to residents requiring ventilator support and coordinate care under supervision, overseeing CNAs and ward clerks to ensure adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing is required.
• New York RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Nursing experience: 1 year preferred.
• Extended Care Facility experience: 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents on the Vent Unit as prescribed by physicians.
• Delegate, implement, and supervise staff in accordance with resident care plans.
• Assist residents and families with care needs and schedule appointments.
• Collaborate with physicians on rounding, orders, and resident care needs.
• Input orders and ensure pharmacy communication as necessary.
• Update care plans with changes and communicate with the team.

Job description

Oneida Health is looking for a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide overnight coverage on the vent unit in our Rehabilitation and Extended Care facility. The ECF Registered Nurse assigned to the Vent Unit is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents requiring ventilator support. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (UM or Nursing Supervisor) and Physician, the RN coordinates individual resident care, oversees nursing activities performed by CNAs and Ward Clerks, and ensures adherence to prescribed care plans and treatment protocols.
