Job summary

Oneida Health is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse Supervisor for our Extended Care Facility. The role coordinates patient care, conducts nursing services with professional judgment, and supervises LPNs and support staff, reporting to a supervisory nursing position.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, compassion for residents, strong attention to detail, and sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred.
• New York RN license is required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with all members of the medical staff in the care and treatment of residents.
• Educating and assisting nursing staff on nursing problems, clinical techniques, and ward management.
• Assigning nursing personnel to meet the needs of residents.
• Providing supervisory oversight to employees such as orientation, performance evaluation, and counseling.
• Showing thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and their medical and surgical practices.
• Demonstrating excellent managerial techniques and leadership skills.
• Collaborating with Nursing Leadership to identify and improve resident care.

Job description

Oneida Health is looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse Supervisor (7a-7p) for our Extended Care Facility. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, possess strong leadership skills, show kindness and compassion to our residents with a customer service attitude, and be able to use professional judgment with regard to patient care.
