The Director of Nursing Services (DON) oversees all clinical operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes. This role provides strategic leadership to nursing staff and directs the Nursing Department in alignment with state and federal standards.

Competenze

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction (POCs), and quality improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

• Oversee nursing staff in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Oversee the comprehensive care planning process and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.

• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties regarding changes in condition.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions in coordination with the Administrator.

• Maintain readiness for unannounced surveys and regulatory visits.
• Ensure timely corrective actions for survey deficiencies and grievances.
