Job summary

MediLodge of Marshall is actively seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the facility’s nursing program and uphold the highest quality of care for residents.

The DON will supervise nursing staff, coordinate professional development, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with clinical policies. RN license in the relevant state and CPR certification are required; BSN preferred with a minimum of three years in director or equivalent leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum three years of director-level nursing experience or equivalent supervisory nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and guides the professional development of nursing staff.
• Rounds on unit at least once daily and ensures clinical protocols and nursing policies are followed.
• Develops and manages systems to ensure clinical competencies and training needs.
• Performs hiring, supervising, disciplining and evaluating nursing staff.
• Plans and facilitates meetings to address resident care issues.
• Manages department budget and staffing schedules to meet census needs.
